Conception of forming the list of State University – Higher School of Economics (SU-HSE)publications in international research journals

General conditions:  

1. Publications are divided into 2 parts: list 1 – 1^st level publications and list 2 – 2^nd level. Each list was formed according to approved principles of appropriate list of international journals
2. The lists include all publications which were published by HSE staff before or during their work at HSE, but not earlier than 1994 year.[1]
3. Publications have full bibliographic description
4. The publication list will be renewed every year and approved by of CAS Working Group (CAS WG).  Renewal of the lists will be provided either by searching publications in the Internet or by  requesting information from the HSE staff and HSE subdivisions.

1. Includes articles published (or accepted) in international peer-reviewed journals.
2. The list of journals is established according to the criteria: Impact factor > 0.5. The impact factor is defined according to Journal Citation Reports. This publication list (Appendix annex 1) is approved by CAS WG and annually renewed as far as the new Journal Citation Reports appear.
3. The journal list is divided according to the braches of knowledge (economics, business, etc.) If journal is multidisciplinary it belongs to the branch of knowledge with the highest Impact factor value. (Annex 1) 

1. The list includes publication of HSE workers doesn’t meet criteria of List 1, but still published in English in journals, mentioned in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI).
2. Some journals included in Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), but issued not in English (for instance, in Russian) can be also included in the list 2 after CAS WG approvement.
3. The list of journals will be corrected as far as SSCI is supplemented with new titles. The new list of journals will be approved by CAS WG.
4. CAS WG makes decisions on what journals to exclude from the List 2 because the quality of publications has grave doubts. The list of excluded journals (annex 2) is accepted by CAS WG.
