Institute of Education, HSE University Russia invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of Education Research, broadly conceived.
The position involves:
· working under the direct supervision of the appropriate research center’s head
· participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in parallel with working onInstitute’s research projects:
o Education Quality Monitoring and Measurement
o Student Experience in the Research University
o Comparative Higher Education
o Organizational Studies In Higher Education
o Adult Key Competencies Measurement and Development
o Factors of Individual and Institutional Resilience
o Reproduction of Inequality in Non-formal and Informal Education
o LearningEcosystems
o Equality of Educational Opportunity: Comparative Economic and Sociological Analysis
o Analysis of Educational and Occupational Trajectories
· writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals, possibly as co-authors with Institute’s researchers
· participation in organization of events and other contribution to the Institute’s activities
· public presentations of candidate’s own research
· some teaching and informal student advising is encouraged, though not required.
The Institute offers access to its extensive data sets :IPIPS;ISHEL; PISA; TIMSS; PIAAC; TALIS; Russian Longitudinal Panel Study of Educational and Occupational Trajectories; Education Economics Monitoring, Systems Approach for Better Education Results (SABER) and others.
Requirements:
- PhD from a research university at the start of the position
- a strong research background
- ability to work in a team,
- fluent English
- relevant experience is an asset although not required
