Optical Spectroscopy and Microscopy of Complex Molecular Systems

The Higher School of Economics Faculty of Physics (Chair of Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics with the Institute of Spectroscopy of the Russian Academy of Sciences invites applications for postdoctoral research position in the field of Optical Spectroscopy and Microscopy of Complex Molecular Systems.

The job involves:

• working under direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Yury Vainer;
• participants are encouraged to pursue their research working on the projects listed below:

o  Optical Spectroscopy of Molecular Nano-objects at the Single-Particle Level

o  Optical Spectroscopy of Organic Semiconductors and Conductive Polymers

o  High Resolution Optical Microscopy of Molecular Systems with Complex Internal Structure;

• writing research papers to international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Institute;
• presenting your own research results and result of the research group you work with at the National and International conferences and other meetings; taking part in scientific seminars and events organized by the host Institute, as well as in other Institute’s activities;
• some teaching is encouraged, though not required.

Requirements:

• PhD in Physics from an internationally recognized research university in such fields as: Optical and Laser Spectroscopy, Molecular Spectroscopy, Solid State Spectroscopy and related fields;
• ability to work in a team;
• strong background in experimental and condensed matter physics, optical and laser spectroscopy, laser physics;
• fluent English and good abilities in academic writing and scientific presentations.
