Institute for Social Policy: Analysis of Factors Affecting Social Finance


The Higher School of Economics Social Finance Center of the Institute for Social Policy in Moscow, Russia, invites applications for postdoctoral research positions in the field of Analysis of Factors Affecting Social Finance.

 

The job involves:

-         working under the direct supervision of Head of Center Mikhail Alashkevich

-         participants are encouraged to pursue their own research in the mentioned field in parallel with working on Social Finance Center research projects in the following broad areas:

o  management models of financial sustainability of higher education institutions / healthcare organizations

o  fiscal policy and finance in social sphere

o  efficiency of budget expenses in public sector

o  efficient property management in organizations of social sphere

-         writing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals in co-authorship with the members of the Center

-         participation in organization of the events and other contribution to the Centre’s development

-         public presentations of a candidate’s own research to the researchers in the field and the broader academic community

-         some teaching is encouraged, though not required.

 

The Centre offers access to its databases and analytical software, access to eLibrary with most common academic publication databases.

 

Requirements:

-         a PhD from an international research university in such fields as: Education, Economics, Finance, Sociology

-         a strong background in quantitative and qualitative analysis, research and practice in Education, Economics, Finance, Sociology

-         ability to work in a team, ambitious and proactive

-         fluent English

-         relevant experience is an asset although not required
