Tenure-track HSE faculty members hired under an international job market contract can apply for research assistants from the graduate and undergraduate student population at HSE, as well as HSE junior researchers, labs and research centers managers that are compensated for their work. Compensations are paid out of funds annually allocated to tenure-track HSE faculty members’ research and travel grants. Funds can be used flexibly for participation in international conferences where the internationally recruited tenure-track professor is presenting research, as well as for request to provide him/her with research materials and equipment such as computers and parts, laptops, office appliances and research assistance.
Research assistants should help tenure-track HSE faculty members in carrying out concrete original research that would be targeted for publication in peer-reviewed international academic journals. It is important to remember that research assistants must always operate under their mentor’s supervision.
